Based in Sedona, Arizona USA we have been in business since 2003 and over 100,000 people have attended our tours since our founding.
Sedona Stargazing is a family run privately held company and has received the
Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence 9 consecutive years (2011-2019). We were inducted into the Tripadvisor Hall of Fame in 2016.
In 2014 Tripadvisor rated us in the
“Top Ten USA based Space Attractions”.
We have also been featured in the New York Times, National Geographic, The Arizona Republic, Sedona Magazine and the Wall Street Journal.
Our professional astronomers lead small groups (12 guests) on a Tour of the Universe using high powered telescopes and laser pointers. Our tour lasts 80 minutes and is conducted at our designated dark sky sites. We view planets, galaxies, star clusters, satellites, the International Space Station and many other amazing celestial objects. In addition, we use lasers to point out constellations and tell stories about how they were named and how they are used for navigation.
We are currently expanding our operations to several new tourism markets in 2020 and have opportunity for franchises, owner operators and working astronomer tour guides.
We are seeking out qualified astronomers or entrepreneurs who are located in or would consider seasonally relocating to one of our preselected locations.
The business operates on a seasonal schedule and varies by location.
All operations of the business are virtually automated allowing the owner to be absent or hands on. Online reservations, communications, confirmations, website, payments and marketing are turn key and automated and provided by the company. This business can be run with a smart phone and has extremely low overhead. This business has high profit margins.
